All organisations within the International Geneva community (international organisations, permanent missions, NGOs, civil society and academic bodies, and multinational companies) are invited to join the 2050Today coalition by signing the Charter.
The support provided by 2050Today and access to the various tools are made available free of charge to all institutions within the International Geneva community.
The 2050Today Charter must be signed by the director of your institution.
Your institution is committed to upholding the five principles of the charter:
1. Measure your carbon footprint
2. Assess your current situation in the selected areas
3. Draw up an action plan
4. Share your action plan with 2050Today
5. Publicise your climate actions
Signing the charter does not entail any legal or financial obligations.
Yes, all organisations – including those that are already well advanced in their climate action efforts – are invited to join 2050Today to benefit from our network of organisations and partners, as well as the workshops and events we organise.
Detailed carbon footprint results are accessible only to the focal points at each institution and are shared with 2050Today.
A summary of the carbon footprint (total emissions and a breakdown by category) is published on each institution’s 2050Today webpage.
The methodology used by 2050Today to measure greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions follows the GHG Protocol. This protocol provides organisations with standards and guidance for measuring and managing the emissions responsible for global warming.
